Scanaria vs NavVis IVION
Surveying firms, manufacturers and plant operators running recurring site scans at enterprise scale
What you gain
Four things a scanner owner gets from Scanaria that NavVis IVION does not offer in the same way.
- 01
The same E57 you would send to NavVis IVION, with no camera to buy on either side.
- 02
Keep the finished tour as a folder that opens from index.html on any desktop, with no server and nothing calling home. NavVis IVION keeps the tour inside its platform.
- 03
One flat $60 a month for unlimited processing, and hosting only if you want it, in the two larger plans. NavVis IVION: subscription, not published.
- 04
A phone-first viewer: the whole building under 15 MB, first view in seconds on 4G, Save for offline.
Where NavVis IVION is stronger
- Large multi-building point cloud management with automatic 2D maps and navigation graphs, BIM overlay and deviation
- REST and streaming APIs, SSO and regional data residency
IVION is a serious destination for third-party E57 and its panorama reconstruction from structured scans is well documented. It is priced as a volume-based enterprise subscription with no public figures and sized by panoramas, storage and users. Tours remain inside the IVION instance; exports are point cloud sections, not a portable walkthrough. An upload-and-own service differs by a published flat fee with no user or panorama limits, and by handing over a self-contained HTML deliverable.
